68. Everything You Believe Could Be Wrong

68. Everything You Believe Could Be Wrong

We cling so dearly to our beliefs. We think we KNOW. We are RIGHT. They are WRONG. It could be beliefs about how to live or about what life is. You may be religious, spiritual, scientific, none of the above or all of the above. You may have ‘facts’ or you may have ‘faith’. Perhaps both.

Regardless of which camp you’re in, ultimately, the only thing we really know is that we do not really know. All we have is ideas, perceptions and interpretations.

No one KNOWS the ultimate truth of existence. Why are we here? Who are we? How are we meant to live? How did it all begin?

? We may believe there was big bang but, what was before that?

? Some people believe they have experienced the spiritual source of existence but, what if there is something beyond that?

? What if the God you believe in was actually created by another God, whom you do not yet know?!

? Beyond everything we think we know, there is potentially something else which we do not know. ?

If the root of existence is unknown, then all the facts, faiths, ideas and experiences we grow from that root are built on a wobbly foundation. It could all collapse at any minute.

We might actually be in the matrix. We might be controlled by some alien life form. Maybe the universe is a single cell in a greater organism. Maybe everything is upside down and everything we think is right is actually wrong.

I know it sounds barmy but how do you know it’s NOT true? Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Just because you can see it, doesn’t mean it’s the finite truth.

I hope you get the point:

? No one really knows. ?

When you really get this, you can experience great freedom. You stop clinging on to a few aspects of human life and instead, you flow with the whole of life.

You can have beliefs and ideas, you can enjoy them. But, you can also remain humble in the face of this inexplicable existence. ?

Rather than getting so caught up in one dimension, rather than fighting so hard for answers, for rights and wrongs, you can simply bow down to the mystery. And in doing this, everything becomes lighter. And quite magical! ?

Liberate yourself from the need to be right and open yourself up to infinite possibility. And relax. Because, no one really knows.

Ps. I could be wrong.
